Fourplex

Login & Authentication

How to sign in and manage your account access

How do I sign in to Fourplex?

Fourplex is passwordless — no password needed. Enter the email already associated with your Fourplex account and we’ll email you a Sign In button and a 6-digit code. Use the button or the code, not both; they expire after 1 hour. Type the code on the device where you want to stay signed in (for example, your computer) if you opened the email on your phone. If you’re new to Fourplex, use the sign-up flow first to create your account.

Check your spam or junk folder first. Sign-in emails can take up to 2 minutes to arrive. Make sure you’re using the email address associated with your Fourplex account. If you were invited to join an HOA and your invite link expired, go to /login with the invited email and we’ll send you a fresh sign-in email back into onboarding.

Is the 6-digit email code the same as two-factor authentication?

No. The 6-digit code in your sign-in or sign-up email is how you finish passwordless login on this device. An authenticator app code (Account → Security) is a separate second factor. After you sign in with the link or email code, Fourplex still asks for the authenticator code if you have 2FA enrolled.

I entered the wrong code too many times. What now?

After five incorrect codes, that code stops working and the field is disabled. Fourplex does not send a replacement automatically. Choose Request a new code, complete verification if asked, and use the new email.

I already used the button in the email. Why doesn’t the code work?

The link and the code redeem the same one-time token. The first one you use wins; the other method then fails until you request a new email.

How do I sign out?

Visit /logout (or /api/auth/signout) in the same browser — that ends the session and returns you to the login page. Board members can also open the avatar menu in the top-right corner and choose Sign out. Residents can sign out from Profile in the member portal.

Can multiple people use the same email?

No — each email address is tied to one Fourplex account. If multiple people in your household need access, each person should use their own email address and be invited as a separate member.
