Your HOA's public website

Stripe — the payment processor Fourplex uses for dues — requires every business to have a public URL. Most HOAs don't have one, so Fourplex auto-generates a simple, single-page website for your community at <your-hoa>.hoasite.org. You don't have to build, host, or maintain anything.

How to find your URL

1. Open Settings → Website (/settings/website).
2. Your generated URL is shown at the top of the page — for example, maple-ridge.hoasite.org. Click View site to open it in a new tab.

You can also see the URL during Stripe setup under Dues → Settings when Use the site we generated for you is selected.

What's on the page

We use information you've already entered. The page covers everything Stripe requires:

• Your HOA's name and a short description of your community (city, state, unit count).
• A statement that you collect HOA dues, special assessments, one-time payments, and fines.
• Your contact email (the same address members use to email your board).
• A standard refund / cancellation policy explaining that dues are non-refundable per governing documents.
• A short privacy statement and payment-security disclosure.
• A Member Login button that links to the Fourplex sign-in page. After logging in, members reach the resident portal — not the public page.

What's NOT on the page

To protect board members and residents, the public page does not expose:

• Street addresses (only city + state).
• Individual unit numbers or owner names.
• Member directories, documents, meeting minutes, or financial records.
• Phone numbers.

Member Login routes members to the password-protected portal (/portal). It does not put directories, documents, or financials on the open web.

Is it searchable?

No. The page tells search engines and AI crawlers to skip it (via robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag header, and a <meta robots> tag). It exists for Stripe verification — not for marketing or discoverability.

What if I want to use my own website instead?

Open Settings → Website and use Disable generated site. You must enter your own website or social-media URL and confirm that Stripe still requires a business website for dues and utility collection.

You can also set this during Dues → Settings by choosing:

• I have a website — paste your URL.
• I have a social media page — paste a Facebook group, Nextdoor, or similar URL. Stripe accepts these.

When you disable the generated page, visitors will see a not-found page at <your-hoa>.hoasite.org. Stripe will use the URL you provide. If Stripe does not have a valid business website on file, your HOA may be unable to collect dues or utility charges.

Customizing your public page

Boards can optionally replace the default boilerplate with a tagline, welcome message, FAQ, and meeting notices. Open Settings → Website (/settings/website) to edit what visitors see. Customization is optional — communities that never edit keep the automatic Stripe page.
