Fourplex

Choosing which email notifications you get

Turn optional Fourplex emails on or off from Your Profile — and understand which emails always send.

Choosing which email notifications you get

Fourplex sends two kinds of email: essential emails you always receive, and optional emails you can turn on or off. You control the optional ones from Your Profile, grouped into simple categories so you can find them quickly.

How to change your notifications

  1. Open Your Profile (board members: the avatar menu → Profile; residents: the portal Profile tab).
  2. Scroll to the Email notifications card.
  3. Flip any switch on or off. Your choice saves immediately — there's no separate Save button.

The categories you see depend on your role and which features your HOA uses. For example, maintenance or water-billing toggles only appear if your community has those features turned on.

Which emails are always sent?

Some emails are too important to turn off, so they have no switch:

  • Payment receipts, invoices, and payment-failure notices for your own account
  • Sign-in links and security messages
  • Legally required notices (for example, official meeting notices)
  • Decisions you specifically requested (like an architectural review outcome)

Common questions

Will turning something off affect other people in my HOA?

No. Notification preferences are personal — they only change what you receive.

I turned something off but still got that email. Why?

A few emails look like reminders but are essential (for example, a formal delinquency notice from the board). Those always send. Everything with a switch in Your Profile respects your choice.

I don't see a toggle I expected.

That category is either not enabled for your HOA, or the notification is essential and can't be turned off.
